"Vroom" explores what it means to be an inanimate object, yet dependent
on another object to function properly.
The image in which I drew my inspiration from for this video was a close-up somewhat abstracted image of a car engine. Going off of the image I began thinking about objects and what happens when a piece of something is separated from its whole. For example if the pistons are missing from an engine, the engine could not function. But the pistons themselves serve no other purpose than to make an engine work together with the many other parts.
This is why I chose the water bottle and bottle cap. It is a simple object yet the bottle without its bottle cap cannot be used properly and likewise the bottle cap cannot do anything else except for keeping water inside of a bottle. When a cap is separated from its bottle it renders both of them useless. This idea of objects being separated is what I tried to accomplish in my piece.
